How to Measure Your Dogs Head for a Dog Helmet The opening (width) of the dog helmet measures as follows:
S: head circumference 10.3CM, 4 inch
M: head circumference 12.7CM, 5 inch
L: head circumference 15.3CM, 6 inch
Take a measuring tape and measure across the top of your dogs head from ear to ear (without bending the tape) - Order the size based on what inch mark is closest to the width of your dogs head from ear to ear.
